One day in Verona

Peter Tchaikovsky's Romeo & Juliet, Love Theme

Today I have just a portion of pictures, which I would like to share with you. Couple of days ago we went for a trip with student organization ESEG to Verona. It was really nice and comfortable, because we paid for the transport and we could decide on the spot if we prefer to use their guides to go sightseeing or just to do it by our own. I really appreciate that we had an opportunity to choose.

The city has been awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO because of its urban structure and architecture. By looking at the photos - do you agree with that decision? :)

And here -the bird's-eye shot of the city :)

Well, it's been said, that touching a Juliet's breast is commonly considered as a good luck. It's a superstition, though;-)

Juliet's balcony...

And the last thing, which we found under the Juliet's balcony - love padlocks. Actually lots of them. I believe it will bring good luck to the lovers, who actually put it there. Romeo and Juliet did not finish their story fortunately.
